| Dear Friends: Thanks to everyone for your emails, prayers, concern and support. Katy was released late yesterday afternoon from the Vanderbilt Trauma Center and we decided to spend today in Nashville so she can get her land legs back. She had an episode at 4:15am wherein she was short of breath combined with a panic attack reliving the accident. Naturally, she is still in pain and we hope she will be able to travel in the morning as we head to Grapevine and home. She is getting back her spirit in spite of everything that has happened – a really good sign! We have two rooms [a two bedder and a king sizer]. When I suggested she and Kay share the two bedder and I would ‘sacrifice’ myself in the king sizer, after eating out in this college town with all the young co-eds running around in running shorts and making eyes at older, more mature types, she jumped out of her pain killer induced sleepiness and firmly said NO!! [bummer :-(]. EZ was officially totaled by my insurance company today and the settlement will just about cover the balance on the loan.
